چکیده
Abstract In freshwater systems (rivers and lakes), historical recent tsunamis have been documented their traces found in the geological record, but studies of paleotsunamis (prehistorical tsunamis) such environments are still underrepresented. This contribution reviews paleotsunami with a focus on post ?2011 period uses events to highlight some areas research that received little attention. past decade, number has increased this includes those carried out over settings. However, lacustrine compared marine rare for rivers our knowledge non-existent. Similarly, generated by meteorological disturbances there none counterpart. Thus, within review, cover all different aspects tsunami generation processes systems, we used several examples, although is notable paleotsunamis. review shows future necessary order better understand causes, frequencies hazard potential.

Freshwater autotrophic picoplankton : a review
Autotrophic picoplankton (APP) are distributed worldwide and are ubiquitous in all types of lakes of varying trophic state. APP are major players in carbon production in all aquatic ecosystems, including extreme environments such as cold ice-covered and/or warm tropical lakes and thermal springs. They often form the base of complex microbial food webs, becoming prey for a multitude of protozoan...

Fishes account for approximately 17% of the global animal protein intake. Fish and fishery products, however, have been documented as a carrier of food-borne pathogens. Fishes serve as a host to a variety of parasites including Salmonella.Salmonella, usually, is not a fish pathogen, rather the consumption of Salmonella contaminated feed and water causes this infection. Smoked fishes serves as a...

متن کاملToxicity of Agrochemicals on Freshwater Invertebrates — A Short Review
The increase of worldwide population and the need to control pests are some of the factors that have led to the application of agrochemicals on agricultural areas to protect and increase crop production. Nevertheless, these substances are of environ‐ mental concern since they can reach water reservoirs and act on non-target organisms. Therefore, different aquatic species have been tested to eva...
متن کاملFree-living nematodes in the freshwater food web: a review.
Free-living nematodes are well-recognized as an abundant and ubiquitous component of benthic communities in inland waters. Compelling evidence from soil and marine ecosystems has highlighted the importance of nematodes as trophic intermediaries between microbial production and higher trophic levels. However, the paucity of empirical evidence of their role in freshwater ecosystems has hampered t...
